the Masters

A series of seven paintings created for the exhibition "Between the Salon Walls", curated by Yael Rose Gez. The exhibition explored the dialogue between contemporary artists and classical art, whether in technique, themes, aesthetics, or conceptions of beauty. This series of paintings responded to seven landscape paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. Each of the locations depicted in the masters' paintings was matched with a corresponding place in Israel, so that the Israeli landscape was painted as a tribute to the classical artwork. In fact, this was an imitation of the process of artificial intelligence, where two images were merged into one, but done by human hand rather than digitally.
