Threshold States

​These three paintings were created as a continuation of the series I Went In. They extend the central motif of looking outward from within the home: the interior is evoked through shadows, while the outside world appears as wild, untamed natural landscapes.

Together, the three works form a cohesive trio, each focusing on a distinct natural element - wind, water, and earth. These elements also serve as metaphors for spiritual qualities, positioning each painting as a contemplation of a particular state of consciousness. Viewed collectively, the works also trace a temporal arc: one alludes to the past, another to the present, and the third to the future.
